H.R. 1628

Yes, I want to live to see a female president.

I'd also like to live to see a day when there are 79 women and 21 men in the Senate.

While we're at it, I'd like to see 352 women in the House of Representatives. I'd like to think they'd be inclusive of their 83 male colleagues but, honestly, I wouldn't blame them if they couldn't always see eye to eye. Don't get me wrong - I'm all for male equality - but sometimes guys can get really pushy when they're trying to be in charge. It's something in their voice...kind of shrill, you know? But they look so cute dressed up in their little pantsuits!

I'd like to see 6 women on the Supreme Court serving alongside 3 men.

This would be really exciting because it would be the most gender diversity we've ever had in government - almost 20% men! It would be my honor to write a few articles about how thrilling it must be for them.

So here's what I'm wondering:

On this hypothetical future day that I would so dearly love to see, do you think the House of Representatives would vote to allow insurance companies to deny coverage to someone because they had been raped?

Or given birth to a child?
Or been abused by a spouse?
Or been born with a chronic disease?

Let's find out. And soon.
