Lucerne to Limousin in 19 Hours or Less

There's no easy way to get from Lucerne, Switzerland to Limousin, France. 

The best route I’ve found clocks in at about 12 hours and requires one to ride in a car to the Lucerne central station, take a train to Basel, take a bus to the airport, fly to Bordeaux, take a bus to the city center, catch a train to Limoges and ride in a car for the final 45 minutes or so.
